Brian Michaels

Brian Michaels got his start in radio at the age of 15 back in 1989. The early 90s saw a move to Moorhead, MN (Fargo, ND) for school and more radio opportunities. Brian found his niche in 1997 when he started a brand new weekly radio show called The A cappella Hour. Brian has been a judge at the Denver and Chicago Harmony Sweepstakes competition numerous times as well as a judge and nominator for the CARA’s (Contemporary A Cappella recording Awards) as well as serving as the Midwest regional Ambassador for CASA (The Contemporary A Cappella Society). Brian’s yearly holiday radio special “Holiday Harmonies: an a cappella Christmas” has been heard around the country. Brian grew up watching his sister and friends perform on stage, as well as all 3 of his own children. Brian has been involved in the local theatre community for over 10 years and in 2019 launched a new podcast focusing on the local theatre scene. BWW Review: ALL SHOOK UP at FMCT
July 25, 2021

For anyone looking for a purely fun show with great music this is it. This show will have you tapping your feet, clapping your hands and singing along. All Shook Up is a 2004 jukebox musical set to the music of Elvis Presley. The story in this production is similar to Footloose. We have a small town with rules against loud music, public 'neckin' etc.. We have an outsider who comes to town and try to change everything, and of course we have the hilarious multi-person love triangle, although it's definitely more than a triangle.

BWW Review: A CHORUS LINE at Fargo South High Theatre
April 19, 2021

A funny story, when I was a kid I collected movie posters. The local movie theater would often give away posters after a movie ran and I would take what I could get. One of the posters I got was of a movie I had never seen called “A Chorus Line”. That poster hung on my wall for a year or two until it was replaced by another, and I never did see the movie...
