Sprawling yet intimate, and altogether quite philosophical, Caryl Churchill's A Number is a piece about guilt, parenting, and individuality. Presented by the Edge of the Universe Players 2 at Capital Fringe, the show left with much to ponder.

In the spacious and comfortable Sidney Harman Hall of the Shakespeare Theatre Company, a group of wizards, muggles, adults, and children sat down to watch Potted Potter (The Unauthorized Harry Experience). The show is a parody of the world-famous Harry Potter novels, and encapsulates all seven in just over an hour.

On June 7th and 8th, In the comfortable and open atmosphere of the Kennedy Center's Opera House Theater, the New York City Ballet Presented Visionary Voices, showcasing three contemporary choreographers; Jamar Roberts, Sidra Bell, and Justin Peck (respectively). Hi, Are You Single? is a one-man show that explores intimacy, hypocrisy, sex, and slow dancing with strangers. Written and performed by Ryan J. Haddad, the show exists at the intersection between queerness and living with a disability.

P.Nokio: A Hip-Hop Musical, is a show that deals with family, creativity, and growing up in a crazy world. The musical is an adaption of the classic Pinocchio tale, though instead of puppets and doll-makers, the piece follows P.Nokio, a video game character come to life, and his programmer father, G. Petto.

Sam and Dede is an honest show about a fictionalized truth. It explores the friendship between two famed artists, and their charming shared history.
