Eleven-year-old Verne lives in Arco, Idaho, where the nights are getting longer. Half a world away, where more often than not it's already tomorrow, lives a girl named Aki. She hates her new home in rural Japan and he's terrified of what comes out when the sun goes down. They're united by a shared mystery and an unshared darkness. It's a fantastic adventure of friendship, hope and imagination set in two places where monsters just might exist. Appropriate for ages 6 and up.
