Blooming in Dry Season is a world premiere play by Eljon Wardally, set to run from August 1 to August 10, 2025, at the North Carolina Black Repertory Company. The story unfolds in a Grenadian rum shop, where Fitz, a struggling Calypsonian, grapples with personal loss and conflict as he and his wife, Rose, contend with their daughter Garland's ambition to join a renowned Calypso group. As tensions rise, the family must confront hidden truths and aspire to restore their harmony amidst the chaos of broken dreams.
