Christy Brandt stars as an eccentric and deeply artistic soul who transforms her home into a strange and wonderful work of art. But both her home – her Mecca, she calls it – and her reluctance to enter an old-age home, are unsettling to her traditional South African community. This breathtaking play illuminates the perpetual conflict between young and old, individuality and convention, and the darkness and light in one’s own life.
