Arthur (male identifying) - An idealistic, compassionate and generous young King. He tends to be unsure of himself, but serves as a huge inspiration to others and strives to lead based on honor and chivalry. (A2-Eb4)
Guenevere (female identifying) - A young, beautiful and spirited young woman and soon to be queen. She loves Arthur and his righteous ways, but is suddenly thrown with the arrival of Lancelot. (B3-A5)
Lancelot (male identifying) - A self-involved French Knight who excels at everything. A strong, confident presence on stage. Passionate disciple of Arthur and his roundtable, whose only weakness is his love for Guenevere. (A2-B4)
Mordred (male identifying) - Arthur’s son as the result of youthful folly, Mordred hates all the good that his father has created; indeed, he hates anything that is good, and is bent on its destruction. (C3-D4)
Merlyn/Pellinore (male identifying) - King Arthur's longtime mentor. A wizard who ages backwards, he can predict the future because he has already lived it. An old and eccentric knight, devoted to Arthur. Wonderfully funny and stuffily British old Knight.
Morgan Le Fey (female identifying) - Mordred's magical Aunt who casts a spell on King Arthur.

Elsa (female identifying) - Reserved, hesitant, and anxious, yet inherently regal, Elsa makes a stunning new Queen of Arendelle. However, she has been trained for over a decade to fear and hide her magical powers. (F#3-D5)
Anna (female identifying) - Optimistic, enthusiastic, and slightly disheveled Princess of Arendelle. Naturally funny and courageously fearless, her greatest flaw – and her greatest strength – is her faith in love. (G3-D5)
Hans (male identifying) - The youngest of thirteen brothers, Prince Hans of the Southern Isles is a real charmer – as handsome as handsome gets. Anna falls for his open wittiness on the spot and overlooks his malicious ambitions. (G2-B3)
Kristoff (male identifying) - Hardworking ice harvester. Sarcastic veneer and a rough-around-the-edges exterior that hides a big heart. Taken in by the Hidden Folk when he was young, he loves Pabbie and Bulda dearly but is a bit of a loner with a reindeer for a best friend until he meets Anna. (G2-A3)
Olaf (any gender) - The magical snowman created by Anna and Elsa when they were young. Olaf is endearingly delighted by everything - especially the idea of summer. Goofy and sweet, Olaf should possess a childlike innocence and excellent comic timing. (F#2-D4)
Sven (any gender) - The lovable reindeer & sidekick to Kristoff. Funny, loyal, and intuitive. Note: Dancers/Acrobats with strong upper body and core strength and stamina to operate a full body puppet.
Oaken (male identifying) - Fun-loving, teddy-bear, family-man proprietor of Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna. Ardent devotee to all things cozy and comfortable. Infectious warmth and humor. (A2-B4)
Weselton (male identifying) - Chauvinistic, intolerant diplomat, the Duke of Weselton seeks any opportunity to get ahead. He seizes on Elsa’s “accident” to spread fear and discredit the entire royal family of Arendelle. Huge inferiority complex. (F#2-D4)
Pabbie (male identifying) - Pabbie and Bulda are the mystical leaders of the Hidden Folk who have a soft spot for strays. Warm and charismatic, he wants what's best for Kristoff, even if his efforts are somewhat unconventional. (A2-B4)
(Contract: SMTA second space/Byham Agreement)

First Rehearsal: May 12th, 2025
Tech: May 27th, 2025
Opening: May 30th, 2025
Closing: June 8th, 2025
BARBE-NICOLE CLICQUOT PONSARDIN (ROLE CAST): Brilliant and passionate woman who revolutionized an industry in an age when women were rarely seen at the helm of an international business. Sharp, clever, loving, brave and audacious. With an unexpected sense of humor.
FRANCOIS CLICQUOT: Smarter than people give him credit for. Mostly upbeat, but is also very tortured. Aches for his father's approval. A dreamer with his heart set on the wine business. He suffers from depression and an increasing illness but uses uplifting attitudes to cope. The highest of highs and lowest of lows. Romantic, bold, kind.
LOUIS BOHNE (ROLE CAST): A zealous and blunt international salesman, one of the best, and has been everywhere. Confident, but not cocky, Louis owns the room. He is charming and playful with a dry sense of humor, and a golden heart. Louis and Barbe-Nicole meet at eye level, and are quickly kindred spirits.
GENEVIÈVE, THE FAMILY DRESSMAKER: The personal modiste to the Ponsardin and Clicquot households, and best friend to Barbe-Nicole. A sharp and pragmatic woman who sees the world for what it is.
JEAN-REMY MOËT: Barbe-Nicole's business rival. He comes from the most well-known wine family in the region. He tends to act out and have a short temper when he doesn't get his way, and can sway the energy in a room whichever way he wants. Clever, cunning, handsome, passionate. His best friend is Napoleon Bonaparte.
CLEMENTINE PONSARDIN: Barbe-Nicole's younger sister, with very excited-little-sister energy. Beautiful and pampered, she is focused on the finer things in life and is more interested in following the traditional path for women at the time. Bubbly, refined, funny and loveable. She is the ray of sunshine you simply cannot hate.
NAPOLEON BONAPARTE: Ruler of France. A brilliant war general and conqueror. His speaking voice has its own flare. He spent his childhood with little money in a boarding school in the Champagne, giving roots to his strong love of the region. Close friends with Moët and Nicolas. Hilarious and flamboyant when drunk. Terrifying when in power. Gets increasingly more dangerous as the show goes on. Will kill to get his way.
PHILIPPE CLICQUOT: Francois's father. A very rational man. But there is passion in there if one knows where to find it. Owner of Clicquot Textiles, and began Clicquot Wines as a side venture. Often accidentally undermines Francois by being critical of his idealistic views out of protection for his son's physical and mental health. He sees promise in Barbe-Nicole, and becomes somewhat of a chosen father figure to her.
NICOLAS PONSARDIN: Barbe-Nicole and Clementine’s father. Socially ambitious. Smart and calculating. He joined the revolution only to be in good standing, and to keep his wealth and reputation safe. Money and tradition over anything else. Owner of Ponsardin Family Textiles, and later Baron of Reims. He connects with Clementine far more than Barbe-Nicole, even though Barbe-Nicole has his business savvy. From Royalist to Jacobin to Royalist.
