A new performance installation from A TODO DAR Productions, rasgos asiáticos explores the fluidity of borders, unearthing hidden histories in the historic confluence of China, Mexico, and the United States. The site-specific work makes its LA premiere May 19 in Los Angeles Chinatown’s historic Chung King Court and the adjacent Automata arts space. Told through a series of inherited stories, fragmented memories and recurring dreams, rasgos asiáticos is written by Virginia Grise, created in collaboration with scenic designer Tanya Orellana. It will have 3 performances on May 19 – at 2pm, 6pm and 8pm. Admission is pay-what-you-can and tickets can be purchased here. This intimate experience limits the number of tickets available.
Automata is at 2105 Kimra Lane, Los Angeles, CA.
