Tuna is the made-up, tiny town featured in A Tuna Christmas, the hilarious sequel to the hit comedy Greater Tuna, both written by Ed Howard, Jaston Williams and Joe Sears. This hilarious tongue-in-cheek homage to small-town American life leaves little untouched. Youll revisit Southern-fried expressions such as I miss her like a rash, older than water and bout half mean, as useless as ice trays in ----, and If you can hear my voice, youre too close! Satire can be a salve in tough times. Twenty-four hours before Christmas, Radio Station OKKK news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities and delightfully eccentric characters attempting to cope with season challenges such as a disaster-prone little theatre production of A Christmas Carol and the annual yard display contest being sabotaged by a mysterious Christmas Phantom. The small cast portrays over 20 colorful Tuna denizens, requiring 22 lightning-speed costume changes (half the fun!). Director Pat Burgemeister said, Youre bound to enjoy this no-holds-barred, politically incorrect, scorchingyet affectionatesatire of small town southern life. Learn the secret of the Christmas Phantom! Starring Paul Heiner and Dennis ODonovan, A Tuna Christmas will be on stage at A.C.T. on Dec. 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15.
