The third of Four Classical Sundays at Five in The Aventura Cultural Series presents Prodigies & Masters of Tomorrow: Sijing Ye of China.
The program is a journey into Chopin & Liszt's favorite repertoire. Sijing Ye performes Chopin's favorite Mazurkas, Waltzes, Nocturnes, Ballades , the great Sonata No. 2, plus Liszt's Rhapsodie Espagnole. Sijing Ye was discovered by Patrons of Exceptional Artists and has participated in numerous competitions in China and abroad.
In December of 2005, Sijing won first prize at the 69th Steinway and Sons International Children and Youth Piano Competition -- held in Bejing, China. On June 2007, Sijing won the 2007 Academic Piano competition in the Aspen Festival and she performed a concerto with the Orchestra of the American Academy of Conducting at Aspen in July in the Benedict Music Tent.
