On stage at the Riverbank Theatre – 358 S. Water Street, Marine City, MI 48039 The comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily funny film into a brilliant stage creation – Young Frankenstein! Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor, and a leggy lab assistant, Inga, Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors aiming to fulfill his grandfather’s legacy by bringing a corpse back to life. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s. With help and hindrance from servant Igor, buxom assistant Inga and needy fiancée Elizabeth, his experiment yields success and unexpected consequences. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds. THIS SHOW IS PG-13 DUE TO SEXUAL INNUENDO AND SOME STRONG LANGUAGE. Young Frankenstein runs 2 and a half hours with one 15-minute intermission.
