audition09@roverdramawerks.com, indicating you are auditioning for DOCTOR U.
(You also may audition for both shows - they don't conflict.)
Auditions will be at Rover Dramawerks’ office space, 521 J Place, Suite 629,
between Plano Parkway and the Bush Turnpike, a half block west of Avenue K.
Brief Synopsis:
A parody about everyone’s favorite Doctor...or two. And guys like Benjamin Franklin, H.G. Wells, Bill & Ted, and Marty McFly might show up to help him/them save the day...
Roles 4 women, 6 men:
DOCTOR - Forgetful professor (think David Tennant).
DR. TWO - Matt Smith look-alike.
MASTER - 30s+, not a villain, just an interesting person.
BEN FRANKLIN - You know, Benjamin Franklin? The guy who invented electricity and stuff? Yeah, THAT Ben Franklin.
MAYOR OF SACHSE, DERELICT 2, H.G. WELLS, BILL, DR. 3 - Male ensemble actor of many talents.
MARTY McFLY, APPLE GENIUS, TED, DR. 4 - Ditto.
BILLIE - 20s, wry sense of humor and sense of adventure.
KAREN – 20s, wry sense of humor and sense of adventure (sound familiar?).
CORNUCOPIA – The Master’s sidekick and would-be love interest.
DERELICT 1, PEEPING ANGEL, FEMALE MASTER - Female ensemble actor of many talents.
All roles are available.
Other information:
DOCTOR U will run on Fridays at 10:30 p.m., following Rover’s mainstage production of Wonder of the World, running May 23 - June 15, 2013 at the Cox Building Playhouse in Plano.
