Local Auditions for World Premiere of Separation Rapid at Chenango River Theatre
Chenango River Theatre will hold local auditions for the world premiere of Separation Rapid by Susan Arnout Smith. This play was commissioned specifically by CRT based on the true story of Bessie & Glen Hyde’s 1928 attempt to raft the Colorado River through the entire length of the Grand Canyon. Bessie would become the first woman to make it, they’d make the fastest trip, and they’d be the first to make it without life preservers. Their trip ended in mystery - their legend continues.

Equity actors receive $237/wk per AEA contract. Non-Equity actors receive total fees ranging from $400 - $900. CRT is the only theatre in the Binghamton area able to offer Equity Membership Candidacy (EMC) for those interested in pursuing a professional career.
