La Sonora Poncea, a national treasure from Puerto Rico, returns to the Lehman Center on Saturday, May 14th for a long-awaited reunion with their fans in the Bronx!Since its inception in 1954, the legendary band has been recognized for its fusion of traditional Cuban sounds with a modern jazzy style. With fantastic musical improvisations, La Sonora Poncea has been one of the most consistent producers of great salsa music for decades.They will be joined by the incredibly talented Yolanda Rivera, along with Cuban singer Mario "Mayito" Rivera. Experience the Puerto Rican sensation that has been performed for more than 65 years!
