Presenting a new approach to Anton Chekhov’s last play The Cherry Orchard. The play revolves around an aristocratic Russian landowner who returns to her family estate and well-known cherry orchard just before it is auctioned to pay the mortgage. A set devoid of lavish furniture and other sophisticated distractions, reduced to the bare minimum, gives room to carefully explore the central themes of the play. The inability of the characters to save themselves. Their blindness to their own shortcomings. The need for social change. The ridiculousness of old-fashioned values. And the consequences of inaction.
Starring: Rohith Guttamidhi, Srishti Sharma, Daniele Gianera, Ajay Bhullar, Emely de Paiva, Emma Rose, Vanessa Ozinger, Narky Cyriaque, U.S. Praveen, Juan Camilo Ortiz, Ermete De Boni
