BIO

Jessica Grove has starred on Broadway in Thoroughly Modern Millie as Miss Dorothy, Les Miserables as Eponine, and originated the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at New York City's Madison Square Garden as well as on the National Tour, performing alongside legends Mickey Rooney and Eartha Kitt, as well as Roseanne, Lillian Montevecchi, and Jo Anne Worley.



Jessica received a Jefferson Award nomination for her portrayal, and can be heard on the 1998 Grammy nominated cast recording. Jessica also played Kim MacAfee in New York's City Center Encores! revival of Bye Bye Birdie, and starred in the New York premiere of Busker Alley, which is slated for Broadway next year. Currently she is appearing in Roundabout Theatre Company's revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George at Studio 54.

Jessica's Off-Broadway credits include the original casts of Anne of Green Gables (Diana Barry), and the World Premiere's of Iron Curtain and The Pursuit of Persephone with New York's Prospect Theatre Company.

Jessica starred at Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera as Laurey in Oklahoma! with the film's Laurey, Shirley Jones, as Aunt Eller. She also stepped into Julie Andrews' shoes on the National Tour of The Boy Friend (directed by Julie Andrews), starring in the same role Ms. Andrews created in the 1954 Broadway production.

Other favorite roles include Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof (Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma), Dorothy Gael in the World Premiere of WAS (at the Human Race in Dayton, Ohio), Anne Frank in Yours, Anne (Columbus Dispatch Award, Best Actress of the Season), and Fleur-de-Lys and Esmeralda in Notre Dame de Paris (U.S. and English Language Premiere in Las Vegas).

Jessica has performed in Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway throughout the United States, and most recently at the Renaissance Resort in Aruba. Other concert appearances include the Columbus Symphony Orchestra Holiday Pops, The Signature Theatre's Open House (Arlington, VA), and Go Wild!, a concert benefiting the Columbus Zoo and Opera Columbus.
