Bay Area based award winning artist Sujata Tibrewala will be. part of the show titled, Breaking the Frame. The opening Reception of Breaking the Frame, an exhibition showcasing four immigrant, refugee, and diasporic artists will be held on August 4. The show aims at expanding our understanding of time, identity, perspective, and tradition. Through mixed media, collage, and the rupturing of frames and borders, these artists pose questions about the ways we understand our relationship to race, gender, belonging, history, and culture. Talking about the show Tibrewala says, "It is important to showcase identities that form United States today. I am looking forward to learn about the work of other artists. My collection Quantum Consciousness explore that atoms that form the universe also shape us. We are all alike but we still dwell on differences and how we can look beyond it. It is this message that forms the core of my showcase. DETAILS Date: August 4th Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm Event Category: VENUE 1200 Harrison St
