The Legend of Georgia McBride will previewFebruary 17 at 7:30 pm on the Monroe Stage.This big-hearted, music-filled comedy, written by Matthew Lopez, won the Lucille Lortel, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Carl Jordan directs this lip-syncing extravaganza, slated to run from Jan 6-23 on the Monroe Stage. The cast includes a number of 6th Street favorites --Jamella Cross, Tyler Bertolone, Joey Abrego, and Alexander Howard.Richard Kerrigan, who was to play Eddie in our planned January production, has another engagement, and will be replaced by another actor for this rescheduled February run.Here's the story. Casey is an Elvis impersonator with everything going for him, including a flashy sequin jumpsuit - until he loses his gig, rent is overdue and his wife announces a baby on the way. So when Elvis leaves the building and a drag show moves in, The King transforms into an all-out queen with the help of some new friends who become the second family Casey never saw coming.The show previews Thursday, Feb 17 at 7:30 pm. Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 pm.
