Contra Costa Civic Theatre opens its 65th season with performances of William Shakespeare's Hamlet and Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, presented in repertory from September 20 to September 22, 2024. Directed by Joel Roster, the cast includes Benjamin Rafael Garcia as Hamlet, LaMont Ridgell as Claudius, and Michaela Sasner as Ophelia. This unique staging allows audiences to explore the story of Hamlet from both the titular character's perspective and that of his less prominent companions. The productions promise to interweave themes of fate and existential inquiry through a collaborative experience.
