In Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat, the Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to life in a delightful musical parable. This all-ages family show was the first collaboration of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Told entirely through song, the musical follows Joseph, favorite son of Jacob, who is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, and overcomes many challenges through his honesty and good character. This high-energy musical is full of catchy songs in a variety of musical styles. The show is fast-paced, running less than 90 minutes including intermission.
This live musical is performed outdoors in historic Woodminster Amphitheater in Oakland’s beautiful Joaquin Miller Park by a large cast and live professional orchestra. Come early and enjoy a stroll along hillside trails, the views of the bay and cities below, and a picnic before the show.
Tickets available in advance or at the door. Discounts including free and steeply reduced price tickets for children and teens 16 and younger, half price tickets at the door for 17-30 year olds, half price opening night tickets for Oakland residents, and more.
