After two sold-out shows at Stookey’s Blue Room, Ms. Shannon Wolfe is back with pianist, John Wilson in:
You’d Be Surprised: A Spring Cabaret
With special guest Vic Wong, double bass.

Do you love surprises? Do you swoon over a lyric and a melody that keeps you wondering what’s next? We do, too! Join us as we highlight familiar favorites and rare gems from the Great American Songbook, peppered with saucy musical theater numbers both vintage and new. We’ve got a story for each lovely tune, so sit back, stay awhile and let us surprise you!

About John Wilson:
A “marvelous musical mad scientist” (Music Critics Association of North America), John Wilson is pianist at the San Francisco Symphony, Principal Keyboard of Marin Symphony, and has performed as Guest Principal Keyboard of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. John recently released his second album on Avie Records, “Rachmaninoff • Gershwin: Transcriptions by Earl Wild,” a follow-up to his first award-winning album, “Upon Further Reflection”, which featured the premiere of MTT’s three-movement suite for piano. No stranger to the stars, he has accompanied Bernadette Peters and Audra McDonald. www.johnwilsonpiano.com

About Shannon Wolfe:
With a voice that shimmers, Ms. Wolfe combines a vintage sound with classic material to a thrilling effect. She is creator of Femme Fatale: A Film Noir Cabaret, and one-half of the comedic duo, Sophisticated Ladies, whose harmonically rich shows feature ballads, boogies and heart-melting harmonies from the Art Deco era. Shannon has appeared regularly at San Francisco’s Society Cabaret inside the Hotel Rex and at The Bird & Beckett with pianist Eric Shifrin & the In Crowd. She was most recently a featured soloist in Tunes of the City: A San Francisco Song Cycle, premiered at Potrero Stage. Shannon is a seasonal performer at The Water’s Edge Bistro in Mazatlan, Mexico. www.shannonmariewolfe.com
