Late at night in the guts of an abandoned theater, actors circle restlessly around the shared warmth of a rehearsal table, preparing for a radio broadcast of Macbeth.
As the ghosts of previous productions hover — channeling the spirits of ambition, violence, fortune, fate, free will, hubris, vengeance, pride, indecision, paradox and madness — the actors cling to the sanity of words to keep the play from taking them over entirely.
