The Bay Area Musical Improv Festival is set to showcase eighteen acts from various locations, including the Bay Area, Chicago, and Hawaii, at the All Out Comedy Theater in Oakland from October 25-27. This three-day festival is dedicated to the art of musical improv, featuring a range of styles from improvised musicals inspired by Stephen Sondheim to rock music festivals. Co-founders Pat Pow-anpongkul, Olivia Puerta, and Molly Robertson highlight the excitement of re-establishing a musical improv community through diverse performances and engaging workshops. The festival will culminate in a musical improv jam featuring a live rock band.
