The Bay Area Musical Improv Festival will showcase eighteen acts from various locations, including Chicago and Hawaii, over three days in Oakland. The festival is dedicated to the art of musical improv, featuring performances inspired by audience suggestions in diverse styles, from Sondheim to improvised opera. Co-founders Pat Pow-anpongkul, Olivia Puerta, and Molly Robertson express excitement over the festival's variety and the mix of both local and national talent. Workshops and a musical improv jam with a live rock band will also be part of the event.
